Afghan aid talks held in Tokyo
TOKYO, Japan - Afghan President Hamid Karzai (standing) addresses the Tokyo Conference on Consolidation of Peace in Afghanistan at a hotel in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on Feb. 22. More than 30 donor countries and the European Union, including the Group of Eight countries, and about 10 international institutions took part in the one-day conference. (Kyodo)
