Koizumi names Fukui as new BOJ chief
TOKYO, Japan - Toshihiko Fukui, former Bank of Japan deputy governor and currently chairman of the Fujitsu Research Institute, speaks to reporters in Tokyo on Feb. 24 following reports that Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has decided to name him as new BOJ governor to replace Masaru Hayami.
