NARA, Japan - The 350-year-old main hall of Hasedera temple in Sakurai, Nara Prefecture, stands partially damaged by a falling tree on March 5. An image of the 11-headed Kannon bodhisattva, which had been placed inside the hall, escaped damage, the prefectural board of education said. (Kyodo)
