Japan to provide $104.2 mil. in aid to nations around Iraq
TOKYO, Japan - Foreign Minister tells a news conference March 23 that Japan will provide a total of $104.2 million to support countries around Iraq in connection with the U.S.-led war on the Persian Gulf nation. The announcement followed remarks earlier in the day by Senior Vice Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi that Japan will put top priority on providing humanitarian and food aid to Jordan and the Palestinian authority.
