2 Japanese 'human shields' leave Iraq

DAMASCUS, Syria - Two Japanese -- Mitsuo Chikushi (L) and Michizo Matsuzaki (R) -- who had been acting as ''human shields'' in Baghdad to protest the U.S.-led war on Iraq, speak at a Damascus hotel in Syria on March 28. Chikushi, a company president from Hino, western Tokyo, and Matsuzaki, a former newspaper reporter from Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward, had been placed at a water-purification plant in a Baghdad suburb.
