NCP officials hold final talks to resolve Matsunami scandal
TOKYO, Japan - Scandal-tainted Kenshiro Matsunami (C), a House of Representatives member from the New Conservative Party (NCP), heads for a party meeting on April 21 at the Diet to explain his conduct. Matsunami admitted Tuesday he had allowed a construction firm with ties to gangsters to pay 2.75 million yen in salaries to his secretaries between March 1997 and February 1998. (Kyodo)
