Toyota launches 2nd-generation Raum compact car

TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. begins on May 12 nationwide sales of its second-generation Raum compact car, revamped for the first time in six years. The new Raum is easy to use for women and elderly people, having a front door and a rear-seat slide door on the passenger side, without a fixed center pillar, to make it easier to get in and out the car, Toyota said.                 New tram starts operating north of Tokyo

                UTSUNOMIYA, Japan, Aug. 26 Kyodo - A light rail transit train carrying children and others runs through Utsunomiya in Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, after a ceremony commemorating the start of the service is held at JR Utsunomiya Station on Aug. 26, 2023.
