Volkswagen to release convertible model of New Beetle

NAGOYA, Japan - Volkswagen Group Japan K.K. said June 3 it will release the New Beetle Cabriolet (in handout photo), the convertible version of the New Beetle passenger car, for 3.33 million yen on June 14. The vehicle has a steering wheel on the right side and is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and has an engine displacement of 2000 cc. Its roof automatically opens or closes in 13 seconds. (Kyodo)
