Hokkaido train platform named after late film star

OTARU, Japan - Hokkaido Railway Co. (JR Hokkaido) officials name Otaru Station's No. 4 platform 'Yujiro platform' on June 17, one month before the 17th anniversary of the death of movie star Yujiro Ishihara, who grew up in Otaru. A 1978 episode of a TV show he acted in was filmed on the platform. (Kyodo)
