Matsushita unit to launch theft-resistant electric bicycle

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows an electric bicycle equipped with a Secom Co. global positioning system (GPS) designed to foil theft, which National Bicycle Industrial Co. will launch in August. The bicycle maker has developed a battery for its ViVi brand electric bicycles that can simultaneously supply electricity to the bicycle and recharge the COCO-SECOM portable GPS unit. The new bicycle will come in three models priced from 74,800 yen to 124,800 yen. (Kyodo)
