TOKYO, Japan - Mika Yamamoto (R), a bullet-train driver on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line, and her younger sister Asami, a conductor, speak to reporters on a platform at JR Tokyo Station on June 20 before boarding a Shin-Osaka-bound Hikari bullet train. Mika is among four women who made their debut the same day as the first female drivers on the line linking Tokyo and Osaka. (Kyodo)
