Tohoku University develops dancing robot that can follow lead
TOKYO, Japan - A robot developed by a team at Tohoku University dances waltz following a human dancer's lead. Kazuhiro Kosuge, the team's leader, said July 15 the robot can predict the dancer's next move through hand pressure applied to its arms and back. He said the team's aim is not to create a substitute for a human dancer, but to help further technology for developing a robot that can move in sync with humans. (Kyodo)
