Researchers unveil robot capable of jumping into crouch
TOKYO, Japan - A group of researchers, led by Yasuo Kuniyoshi, an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo, on Sept. 12 at the university unveils a human-shaped robot named Daneel that is capable of jumping to a crouching position from its back. The robot, measuring 160 centimeters in height and weighing 70 kilograms, can jump from its back (top photo) to a crouching position (bottom photo) in two to three seconds. (Kyodo)
