Fujimori denies massacre charges, still covets presidency
TOKYO, Japan - Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori speaks during an exclusive interview with Kyodo News in Tokyo on Oct. 9. He issued a further denial of involvement in the disappearances and massacres that marked his rule from 1990 to 2000, and expressed his intention to run again for the presidency in 2006. ''I want to explore political solutions,'' Fujimori, 65, said, referring to the Peruvian parliament's move to purge him from public life. (Kyodo)
