Akakura to have WBC title match with Aguirre
TOKYO, Japan - Third-ranked contender Eagle Akakura of Thailand speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on Nov. 1. He said he will take on World Boxing Council (WBC) minimum weight champion Jose Aguirre of Mexico in a title bout in January 2004. Akakura, who arrived in Japan from Thailand in 2001, has a flawless 11-0 record, including five wins via knockout. (Kyodo)
