Hokkaido fishermen enjoy bountiful salmon catch
SHIBETSU, Japan - Fishermen in eastern Hokkaido have been enjoying a bountiful catch of prized young salmon, normally only one out of every 10,000 caught. About 2,000 young salmon have been caught at the Rausu fishing grounds this year, up from 700 last year, and around 900 in Shibetsu (shown), compared with 200-300 on average. (Kyodo)
