(2)Japan decides to introduce missile defense shield
TOKYO, Japan - Defense Agency Director General Shigeru Ishiba walks into the prime minister's office to attend a session of the Security Council on Dec. 19. The cabinet decided to introduce a missile defense shield in fiscal 2004 to deal chiefly with the possibility of ballistic missile attacks from North Korea. (Kyodo)
