'Little Matsui' begins training
TOKOROZAWA, Japan - Japanese shortstop Kazuo Matsui (C) begins training at a Seibu stadium in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, on Jan. 7 before joining the New York Mets for the new major league season. He signed a three-year, $20.1 million contract with the Mets. (Kyodo)
