TOKYO, Japan - Shizue Takahashi, widow of a victim from the 1995 Tokyo subway gassing, speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on Feb. 27 after the Tokyo District Court sentenced AUM Shinrikyo cult founder Shoko Asahara to death. ''I wanted the death penalty for him, and I'm glad there was no other ruling besides death. I could not have accepted a term of life imprisonment,'' Takahashi said. (Kyodo)
