Daughter of ex-Saitama gov. gets suspended prison term
TOKYO, Japan - The Tokyo District Court on March 17 sentenced Momoko Ichikawa (file photo), a daughter of former Saitama Gov. Yoshihiko Tsuchiya, to 18 months in prison, suspended for four years, for embezzlement and falsification of reports on political donations. The court said Ichikawa illegally excluded 116 million yen in donations from reports on her father's political funds between 1998 and 2002. (Kyodo)
