(1)Tohoku pitcher Darvish throws no-hitter at Koshien

NISHINOMIYA, Japan - Tohoku High School right-hander Yu Darvish pitched a no-hitter in the Miyagi Prefecture school's 2-0 victory over Kumamoto Kogyo at the national high school baseball invitational tournament at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture on March 26. The 17-year-old, whose father is Iranian and mother Japanese, became the 12th player in history to toss a no-hitter at the tournament. (Kyodo)
