Researchers develop crystal material offering brighter red light
NAGOYA, Japan - A Japanese research group said April 2 it has developed a material from tin oxide micro crystals that can emit red light (R) at four times the brightness of current materials (L), and can be used to improve plasma TVs and fluorescent lights. The group is led by Masayuki Nogami, an engineering professor at the Nagoya Institute of Technology. Photo was provided by the institute. (Kyodo)
