3 Japanese astronauts hope to contribute to space station projec
WASHINGTON, United States - Naoko Yamazaki (C), one of three Japanese astronauts, speaks at a ceremony at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Johnson Space Center in Texas before the start of their training on June 14. Yamazaki, 33, said she wants to contribute to an international project to build a space station. The two other Japanese astronauts taking part in the training are Satoshi Furukawa, 40, and Akihiko Hoshide, 35.
