TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. said on Aug. 25 it has begun producing and selling a new pickup truck in Thailand, the first step in the automaker's plan to build a global supply network. The new pickup, the Hilux VIGO (photo), is the first of five newly developed models to be produced in four countries -- Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa and Argentina -- in an investment worth about 150 billion yen.
