(3)Typhoon Songda causes severe damage across Japan

YAMAGUCHI, Japan - Firefighters look for missing crew members of the Indonesian-registered freighter Tri Ardhianto on Kasado Island in the Seto Inland Sea off Yamaguchi Prefecture on Sept. 8. The 6,315-ton freighter ran aground on Sept. 7 in strong winds triggered by Typhoon Songda. All 22 crew members aboard the ship went missing. Nine bodies believed to be that of the missing crew members were found. (Kyodo)
