Iraqi boy experiences Japanese elementary school
NUMAZU, Japan - Mohamad Haytham Saleh (L), a 10-year-old Iraqi boy temporarily staying in Japan following a second round of surgery on his left eye, introduces himself in a class room at a public elementary school in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, on Jan. 5. He greeted students at Imazawa Elementary School by saying in Japanese, ''I'm from Iraq and pleased to meet you.'' (Kyodo)
