Teenager Ito places 3rd in World Cup ski jumping
BISCHOFSHOFEN, Austria - Daiki Ito, 19, smiles after giving Japan its first podium finish of the season when he placed third at a World Cup ski jumping meet in Austria on Jan. 6. He did a hill record 143-meter second jump to soar from ninth to third place behind winner Martin Hoellwarth of Austria and Finland's Janne Ahonen. (Kyodo)
