Blue diode inventor dissatisfied with patent dispute settlement

TOKYO, Japan - Shuji Nakamura, inventor of the blue-light emitting diode, speaks to reporters in Tokyo on Jan. 12, one day after he and Nichia Corp., his former employer, resolved their dispute over the patent for the blue diode through mediation by the Tokyo High Court.
