Chinese envoy calls for China-Japan FTA

OSAKA, Japan - Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wang Yi, in a keynote speech at a seminar for businessmen in Kobe on Feb. 3, calls on Japan to launch negotiations with China on a bilateral free trade agreement. ''As trade between China and Japan has been expanding, bilateral trade liberalization can benefit both and help boost the Japanese economy,'' Wang said. (Kyodo)
