JR East to allow passengers to pay fares through cellphones

TOKYO, Japan - East Japan Railway Co. said Feb. 22 that starting next January railway passengers will be able to pay fares by using mobile phone handsets equipped with its Suica electronic train fare cards. (Kyodo)
