JAL Int'l chief demoted over operational blunders
TOKYO, Japan - Japan Airlines International Co. President Katsuo Haneda (L) will be demoted to vice president to take the blame for a recent series of irregularities involving its airplanes, its holding company said March 17. At right is Japan Airlines Chairman Isao Kaneko, who will hand over the post of chief executive officer to Japan Airlines President Toshiyuki Shinmachi in April, instead of June as earlier announced.
