13 East Asian nations to strengthen currency swap framework

ISTANBUL, Turkey - Finance ministers from the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations plus Japan, South Korea and China agreed in their meeting in Istanbul on May 4 to substantially strengthen their currency swap framework to better cope with a regional financial meltdown. (Kyodo)
