Deep sea drilling ship delivered to gov't

NAGASAKI, Japan - The deep-sea drilling vessel Chikyu berths at the Nagasaki dockyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., which built the vessel, for a ceremony to be delivered to the government's marine science agency on July 29. The vessel aims to drill to the deepest depth ever in the Earth to shed light on mysteries under the planet's crust. (Kyodo)
