Teikoku Oil to drill despite risk of Chinese interruption
TOKYO, Japan - Teikoku Oil Co. President Masatoshi Sugioka speaks during an interview with Kyodo News in Tokyo on Aug. 26. He indicated the company's readiness to conduct test drilling in prospective East China Sea gas fields despite the risk of Chinese interruption. ''We would never be able to conduct test drilling if we stuck to the absence (of interruption) as a precondition of doing so,'' Sugioka said. (Kyodo)
