Lower house passes 50 million yen cap on political donations
TOKYO, Japan - The House of Representatives passes amendments to the Political Funds Control Law on Oct. 18 to put an annual 50 million yen cap on donations between political groups. The bill requires political parties' fund management bodies to use bank remittances both for incoming and outgoing donations in order to boost transparency. (Kyodo)
