Horse racing betting produces record return
TOKYO, Japan - A horse race organized by the Japan Racing Association paid out 18,469,120 yen on a 100-yen wager on Oct. 22, the highest return in the history of legal sports gambling in Japan. Zenno Express, Kanesu Benefit and Keiai Carlton finished 1-2-3 at Tokyo Racecourse and the trifecta bet on them surpassed the previous record of 13,000,390 yen set in a race at Oi Racecourse in Tokyo in May 2005.
