Kotonowaka retires from sumo

FUKUOKA, Japan - Gentle giant sumo wrestler Kotonowaka (L), 37, ended his 21-year career to retire from sumo on the 13th day of the 15-day Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament in Fukuoka on Nov. 25 with a losing 5-8 record after a defeat by 13th-ranked Shunketsu (R). (Kyodo)
