Special version of retiring Japan-made plane shown to media

TOKYO, Japan - A special livery version of the YS-11, the first passenger aircraft built in postwar Japan, is shown to the media at Tokyo's Haneda airport on Dec. 6 ahead of its retirement from commercial service in the fall of 2006. Japan Air Commuter Co., a unit of the Japan Airlines group, operates four remaining twin turbo-prop planes for commercial flights. (Kyodo)
