LDP decides to drum up party leadership race in 2006 policy
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi swings a torch light with his colleagues as his Liberal Democratic Party winds up an annual convention at a Tokyo hotel on Jan. 18. The ruling party decided to try to drum up public interest in its leadership election to be held in September to pick Koizumi's successor as party president.
