Former Giants skipper Fujita dies at 74
TOKYO, Jpaan - Former Yomiuri Giants manager Motoshi Fujita (file photo), who led the Central League club to two Japan Series titles, died of heart failure on Feb. 9 at a Tokyo hospital. He was 74. Fujita steered the Giants to Japan Series titles in 1981 and 1989 and was inducted into the Japanese baseball Hall of Fame in 1996. (Kyodo)
