TOKYO, Japan - A man looks at the price board outsides a brokerage house in the Marunouchi district in Tokyo on April 3. Tokyo stocks reached multiyear highs on the day -- the first trading day of Japan's new business year -- on a weaker yen against the U.S. dollar and robust sentiment over Japanese economic prospects. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 273.65 points to 17,333.31, for its highest finish since July 12, 2000. (Kyodo)
