New DPJ head Ozawa picks rival Kan as deputy
TOKYO, Japan - Ichiro Ozawa (R), the new leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, said in Tokyo on April 8 that he has named Naoto Kan (2nd from R, front), a two-time DPJ president whom he defeated in the leadership election the previous day, as deputy president of the main opposition party.
