Gov't adopts 'patriotic' education law revision bill
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi walks into a room in the Diet building to preside over a Cabinet session on April 28. The Cabinet adopted a controversial bill to amend the 1947 basic education law to emphasize ''public spirit and Japanese traditions'' to instill a sense of patriotism in the young. (Kyodo)
