Japan, Pacific island nations to meet for summit in Okinawa
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi leaves his official residence en route to Okinawa Prefecture to attend a two-day summit of leaders of Japan and Pacific island nations due to begin in Nago, on May 26. The leaders will discuss wide-ranging issues affecting the small island states such as development, environment, infection and tsunami countermeasures. (Kyodo)
