Nintendo's new game console Wii to debut on Dec. 2 in Japan

CHIBA, Japan - Nintendo Co. said on Sept. 14 it will launch its next-generation Wii video game console (in photo) on Dec. 2 in Japan, hoping to attract more game enthusiasts during the Christmas shopping season than its major domestic rival Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (Kyodo)
