Lower house passes bill extending antiterrorism law by 1 year
TOKYO, Japan - The House of Representatives approves during a plenary session on Oct. 19 a bill that extends for another year from Nov. 1 the special antiterrorism law for Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force ships to continue refueling U.S.-led coalition forces in the Indian Ocean in support of the antiterrorism campaign in Afghanistan.
