Takashimaya to sell 20 million yen teddy bear
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese department store operator Takashimaya Co. said Oct. 30 it will put on sale a 20.06 million yen teddy bear (bottom) ahead of the upcoming Christmas and end-of-year shopping season. The 90-centimeter tall bear wears a tiara 16 cm in diameter encrusted with 9.54 karats worth of diamonds and 2.71 karats of pink sapphires. It will also sell a 50-cm bear (top) with a smaller tiara garnished with 3.30 karats of diamonds at a price of 5.25 million yen. (Kyodo)
