Designer's image of New Tokyo Tower bared
TOKYO, Japan - Sculptor Kiichi Sumikawa (L) explains to Kinya Miyasugi, president of New Tokyo Tower Co., about his design of the tower on Nov. 24. The radio and TV transmitter tower to be built by Japan Broadcasting Corp. and five commercial TV broadcasters in Tokyo's Sumida Ward by 2010 will stand 600 meters high, higher than the world's current tallest tower, the 553-meter CN Tower in Canada's Toronto.
