LDP to readmit 11 'postal rebels' but rejects Hiranuma
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (C) meets with executives of his Liberal Democratic Party in the Diet building on Nov. 27 to discuss a joint petition filed by 11 independent lawmakers for their return to the ruling party. Abe said later the party will readmit the 11 independents whom it ousted in 2005 over a policy dispute, after they pledged never again to go against the party and agreed to support his policy agenda.
