Honda envisages launch of fuel-cell cars in general market by 20
TOKYO, Japan - Takeo Fukui, president of Honda Motor Co., speaks in an interview with Kyodo News at the company head office in Tokyo on Dec. 25. He said the company is envisaging that it will be able to churn out fuel-cell vehicles for the general market by 2018. ''In 2008, we will begin lease sales of a new fuel-cell car. By evolving a next model based on this, I think the level of technology will become very close to that of mass-produced ordinary vehicles within 10 years or so,'' Fukui said. (Kyodo)
